Siip tenan dengan Liputan the Times mengenai perang di Afghanistan, misalnya, disajikan di satu situs jejaring dengan link (tautan) ke artikel berita, kolom pendapat, foto, video, grafik dan bahan lain.Situs itu meliputi ringkasan perkembangan penting dengan tautan ke berita Times, garis waktu peristiwa penting, profil pelaku penting dan kaitan ke arsip berita seperti liputan mengenai pemilihan umum lalu di Afghanistan.Pengguna dapat memilih artikel di situs tersebut --dari "yang paling penting", "yang terbaru pertama" atau "yang paling lama pertama"-- dan melihat daftar berita ke atas dan ke bawah.Dengan nyaman, pemakai dapat mengklik satu tautan di situs Living Stories tanpa perlu berselancar sampai jauh dari situs itu.
Pengungkapan Living Stories disampaikan di tengah serangan terhadap Google oleh beberapa penerbit surat kabar AS, terutama pemimpin News Corp. Rupert Murdoch. Raja media itu menuduh perusahaan pencariab Internet telah mengeruk keuntungan dari kontennya tanpa berbagai hasil dari iklan.Kepala pelaksana Google, Eric Schmidt, menanggapi tudingan itu di dalam kolom opini di Wall Street Journal milik Murdoch pekan lalu.
